Servings 8 8 oz glasses
Ingredients
- 6 cups water (divided)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 4 to 6 lemons per cup of juice)
- 1/2 cup Rudy's Original Boysenberry Syrup
Instructions
- Begin by preparing a simple syrup using a one to one ratio of sugar and water (1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water). Combine the sugar and water in a small sauce pan and heat gently and stir until the sugar is completely melted. Set the simple syrup aside and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the fresh lemon juice, removing the seeds. If you wish, you can also strain out the pulp.
- Combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, water and Rudy's Original Boysenberry Syrup in a pitcher and stir. Taste and add more boysenberry syrup if needed. Pour into glasses filled with ice and serve or chill the pitcher of boysenberry lemonade a few hours before serving.
Notes
If you are looking for alternatives to sugar, try substituting Agave Nectar, Maple Syrup or Honey for the simple syrup. Enjoy!
